On The World.

Lotus Dusk

A vast desert at sunset. Warm amber and gold throughout—zero cool tones. A futuristic amphitheater with a lotus-shaped canopy, glowing warm from within, sunk below the dune's ridgeline. Tiered wooden seating curving down toward a circular stage. Polished stone floor. Warm golden light reflecting off every surface.

The desert knows her name.

The Characters

MAGGIE. A woman wearing a pale cream satin top dress with flowing chiffon bottom. Short platinum blonde hair in a wispy pixie cut with bangs swept to the side. Fair complexion, brown eyes, defined eyebrows, glossy peach lipstick. Floor-length gown with fitted satin bodice, spaghetti straps, subtle sweetheart neckline. Layered semi-sheer chiffon skirt with handkerchief hemlines. White lace ankle boots with front lace-up design, pointed toe, stiletto heels decorated with rows of pearls.

She rides DuneBike. She is upset. She arrives. She plays. She releases. She leaves.

-----

MAVERICK. A man with medium-length wavy dark brown hair. Light tan complexion, stubble, strong jawline. Striking green-brown eyes. Subtle earring in left ear. Loose-fitting off-white linen shirt, partially open, revealing layered necklaces of varying lengths—silver chains interspersed with beads in shades of brown, grey, and beige. Pendants including a cross or shield-like design and natural stones. Rugged, masculine. Brown leather cowboy boots.

He walks through the desert. He sings. He pounds his thigh in rhythm. He processes. He picks up the guitar. He continues the story.

-----

DuneBike. A custom motorcycle designed with acoustic and electric guitar elements. Metallic bronze and gold frame shaped like a guitar body. Long metal strings running horizontally along its side. Miniature guitar neck and headstock integrated near the brown leather seat. Thick, treaded black tires kick up dust on the sand.

Structure. A vast desert at sunset. A futuristic amphitheater. Warm amber and gold. The space holds departure and arrival.

Intrusion. Maggie rides toward the amphitheater. She is upset. She arrives. She is the question the space must answer.

Integration. She walks onto the stage. The Guitar resolves from the dust. She lifts it. She strikes the first chord. The Guitar turns blue. She is one with the music.

Intimacy. The dust spirals around her. She rises. She descends. She plays. Maverick watches. He processes. He picks up the guitar.

Release. She finishes. She releases the guitar. She leaves. Maverick picks it up. He continues the story.

The Song

I don't understand the fire in your hands
I don't understand the way the silence lands
You built a world I couldn't climb
Now I'm just standing at the bottom every time

She rides the edge of something I can't name
She burns so bright I'm looking through the flame
I thought I knew her—I was wrong
I've been watching her too long

She picks up the wood and wire
And the fire... the fire just goes quiet

And the desert knows her name
It's the only thing that stays the same
When the dust begins to rise
I see the peace behind her eyes
She's not angry—she's just free
And the music sets her free
Sets her free

every time
